Poken website API?
We are currently working on a website where we promote poken in the netherlands. We are having some great idea's that we are working on at the moment. Is there going to be a API for the doyoupoken website where we can pull information off and what are the possibilities of this API?

Inappropriate? The API is one of our top priorities right now and we are finalizing its specifications. If you have specific requests for functionality you'd like to see in the API, don't hesitate to let us know!
I’m excited

Inappropriate?@Bryan, Tnx! That's great news, are you on a try-out with the API on Usgang yet?
I’m curious
-
Inappropriate?Bryan, one idea for the API, the possibility to add your own network (like a Ning network for example) which uses Poken on a custom website.
-
Inappropriate?@Corne, yes we're working on API integration with Usgang and several other sites. We hope to have something to show you soon! In the long-term we definitely hope to enable third parties to create connectors between Poken and their sites, as you've described.
I’m excited

Inappropriate?@Bryan, it has been more than two weeks now, what is the current status of the API development?
-
Inappropriate? The end of February?!?! It's half past March allready. So, where can we download the API?
I’m confused

Inappropriate? We've had to push the release date of the API back in order to focus on usability of our core web application. The last thing we want to do is get our cart ahead of our horse and leave our users hanging. We will definitely keep you posted as soon as there is even an alpha version available for testing!

Inappropriate? Two months (at least) to work on website usability? Looks quit a lot...
Any update? hoping that is not something like "we are working on it"
I’m disappointed
-
Inappropriate?Have you been back to the website recently? I think you'll find it eminently more usable!
I’m happy
-
Inappropriate?Bryan, my disappointment wasn't about usability.
The fact is that you wrote "We've had to push the release date of the API back in order to focus on usability of our core web application", but I didn't see a lot about APIs.
Actually, doing a search with Google, I've eventually found this so something has been actually done, but an update here would have avoided any argument ;)
I’m confident
-
Inappropriate?Yes, we are definitely falling behind on our communication and your point is well taken. To THAT point, though, I will say that "we're working on it." :-)
I’m sheepish
