export as csv
Have you thought about doing export as CSV? Vcard is nice and all, but when you have 50 contacts to export...

Hey, Steph! We have indeed considered CSV but vCard is more ubiquitous. What is the problem with exporting 50 contacts to vCard?

Not sure if vcard is really more ubiquitous, nevertheless csv would be very useful, especially since my experience of vcard export is that it is individual which is of course time consuming.

I like the idea of the export, but I do not like the that old crappy CSV format. In a perspective of users that do not use the western encoding we better would use a open document format (ODF) for spreadsheets instead...

For Outlook, the individuality of the VCard is easy to fix. You just have to use the Windows Address Book (or Windows Contacts for Vista) as an intermediary. First Import the multiple contacts Vcard file in Windows Address Book and then export them as a WAB file which Outlook recognises and is able to import. I've tried it and it works fine

Thanks Andra - that works well - Poken Hub doesn't like exporting 250+ contacts in one go though
